#1 – ICT in Education: new ways to learn

Who is this course intended for?

This course targets a wide range of individuals, including: teachers and school personnel from pre-school to primary, secondary, vocational, adult, special needs education and all those who want to improve their digital competences and to learn new ways to learn.

The course will focus on the theoretical exploration and practical use of digital tools as a source for new ways of communicating, collaborating, designing, sharing, publishing, and teaching.

Methodology

The methodology will involve a combination of theoretical classes, examples of best practices, content creation workshops, discussions, and experience sharing. Participants will have the opportunity to develop tangible final products and learn through their creation.

Outcomes

  1. Enhanced digital literacy skills: Participants will gain proficiency in using various ICT tools and platforms for educational purposes.
  2. Increased creativity and innovation: Learners will discover and utilize digital tools to foster creative thinking and innovative approaches to learning.
  3. Improved collaboration and communication: Participants will learn how to leverage ICT tools to collaborate with peers, teachers, and experts, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  4. Engaging and interactive learning experiences: Participants will explore and implement interactive learning strategies, such as gamification and multimedia content, to make learning more engaging and memorable.
  5. Access to a wealth of educational resources: Participants will learn how to leverage digital resources and online platforms to access a wide range of educational materials, including e-books, videos, and interactive simulations.
  6. Improved critical thinking and problem-solving skills: Participants will develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities through the use of ICT tools that encourage analysis, evaluation, and solution generation.
  7. Cultivation of digital citizenship and responsible use of technology: Learners will understand the importance of digital ethics, online safety, and responsible digital behavior.

5 Days Programme (25 hours, course sessions from Monday to Friday) 

  • Introduction of participants, outline of the programme, warm ups and icebreakers
  • Canva: Creation of interactive presentations, posters, infographics, etc. 
  • Genially: Creation of interactive and multimedia presentations. 
  • Kahoot: Creation and use of interactive quizzes and games. 
  • Edpuzzle: Creation of interactive educational videos. 
  • Padlet: Creation and use of collaborative virtual walls. 
  • Scratch: Block-based programming. 
  • Use of AI in the classroom: ChatGPT and DALL-E 2, Bing and Bing Image Creator, Google Bard, Craiyon.
  • Cultural and social programme
  • Team Building and networking activities
  • City tour or a cultural trip

Certificate

Each participant will get a course attendance certificate.

Course Fee

The course fee is 80€ per day, including tuition and materials, cultural programme, support in preparation and administrative work. We don’t have hidden fees.

After registration, you will receive an invoice (pro-forma) which you will have to pay by bank transaction. After you attend the course, you will receive the invoice.
